In a surprise move on Wednesday night, February 4th, 2009 The United States Senate voted to give homebuyers a $15,000 tax credit in hopes to begin rejuvenating America's slumping economy.
Proposed by Republican senators, quickly agreed upon by Democrats and ratified by the House of Representatives, the law would give homebuyers a tax credit of 10% of the cost of the home with no limit until $15,000. Keep your eyes open because if this bill makes it through Congress and stays alive within the next couple of weeks then this mammoth tax credit, historically low interest rates and homes at buyer's-market prices there would be no better time to buy!
