Sacramento County is showing signs of improvement as the median sales price for single-family resale homes in Sacramento County rose for the fourth straight month to $162,000.
With inventory being low and interest rates also at record lows, combined these are pushing up prices during this spring buying season.
Also, foreclosure activity fell by double-digit percentages throughout the Sacramento region in April along with the rest of California.
Foreclosure filings as well as foreclosures fell close to 40 percent in Sacramento County compared to April of last year and has dropped over 26 percent from this past March alone.
For the rest of California, foreclosure activities have dropped by 30 percent in April compared to April 2011.
