There are indications that the spring buying and selling season got off to a great start because contracts to buy previously owned homes increased to a two year high this past March particularly in the South and the West.
According to a report released today from the National Association of Realtors regarding pending home sales index said that the number of signed contracts in March jumped by 4.1 percent which is the highest level since April of 2010.
Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist for the National Association of Realtors said, "First quarter sales closings were the highest first quarter sales in five years. The latest contract signing activity suggests the second quarter will be equally good."
